Trial Operation of Jaw Crusher

Trial Operation of Jaw Crusher

After the installation of the jaw crusher is completed and a thorough inspection has confirmed that everything is correct, a no-load trial operation may be carried out. Before the no-load trial operation, the eccentric shaft should be rotated for one full revolution using a crane; only when no obstruction is felt may the machine be started. The no-load trial operation shall meet the following requirements:

(1) The no-load test run shall last no less than 4 hours, and the test run may only be concluded after the bearing temperature has remained stable for 1 hour.

(2) The belt shall not exhibit edge wear or slipping.

(3) No fasteners or connecting parts shall become loose.

(4) The temperature of sliding bearings shall not exceed 70°C, and the temperature of rolling bearings shall not exceed 80°C.

After the no-load trial operation has passed, a load trial operation shall be conducted. The load trial operation shall generally last 2 to 3 days. The load trial operation shall meet the following requirements:

(1) The crusher shall not produce periodic or significant impact sounds.

(2) The feed direction shall be correct, and the maximum feed block size shall comply with design specifications.

(3) The bearing temperature rise shall not exceed the temperatures specified for the no-load trial operation.

(4) The crusher’s throughput shall be generally in line with specifications, and the product particle size shall meet requirements.
