Western Sichuan is known not only for natural attractions such as Jiuzhaigou and Mount Siguniang, but also for its rich mineral resources. In recent years, with the continuous advancement of infrastructure construction, local demand for high-quality manufactured sand has been rising steadily.

A granite sand production line with a designed capacity of 400 t/h has been put into operation here, becoming an important support for the regional supply of sand and aggregate.

The production line uses granite as raw material, with the feed size controlled below 40 mm, and ultimately produces premium manufactured sand of 0–0.45 mm. The product is widely used in key engineering fields such as bridges, highways, water conservancy dams, and concrete batching plants.

The entire system adopts a process route of three-stage crushing, multi-stage screening, and shaping to ensure excellent particle shape, reasonable grading, and controllable fines content.

In terms of process flow, the raw material is first primarily crushed by a jaw crusher. It is then passed through a vibrating screen to separate part of the natural sand, while larger particles enter a hydraulic cone crusher for secondary and fine crushing and are crushed to below 4 mm. The screened qualified materials then enter a high-performance sand making machine for shaping, further optimizing particle shape and increasing cubical content. Finally, after classification by a circular vibrating screen, premium manufactured sand meeting Chinese national standards is obtained. It is worth mentioning that the core equipment demonstrates high stability and efficiency in actual operation.

According to customer feedback, the equipment of the whole line runs smoothly with a low failure rate. Especially in the cone crushing stage, the laminated crushing principle is adopted, which not only significantly increases output compared with traditional equipment, but also produces uniform particle shape and low needle-like and flaky particle content, greatly enhancing the market competitiveness of the sand and aggregate products.
