What are the working characteristics of a rod mill?

Rod mills are generally used for coarse grinding, with a feed particle size of 20-30mm and a product particle size of 0-3mm. Unlike other mills that grind ore at a single point on the rod, rod mills grind ore along the entire length of the rod, resulting in a more uniform force. Before the coarse particles are ground, the fine particles experience less crushing, thus reducing over-grinding and producing a more uniform product particle size.
