
Installation Method
The details are as follows:
(1) According to the drawings, inspect the concrete foundation of the thickener tank, including all dimensions, tank diameter, tank depth, bottom slope, central concrete column foundation, as well as the levelness and elevation of the overflow weir. Also check the position and dimensions of embedded steel plates, etc.
(2) Hoist and weld the thickener tank body (steel plate tank). After verifying and adjusting all installation dimensions as required, weld the tank securely to the embedded steel plates.
(3) Hoist and install the drive support truss. After checking and adjusting relevant dimensions as required, weld the truss securely to the embedded steel plates or the steel tank.
(4) Hoist and install the integral base of the large worm gear reducer, the large worm gear reducer, the reducer, and the electric motor. Fix them to the truss with bolts or by direct welding as shown on the drawings.
(5) The installation of the rake mechanism and the clearance between the rake teeth and the tank bottom over the circumference shall comply with the design specifications. The angles of symmetrical rakes relative to the tank bottom shall be symmetrical. When the adjustable-lift rake is at its lowest stroke position, the clearance between the rake teeth and the tank bottom shall not be less than the minimum value specified in the design.
(6) The allowable installation tolerances and inspection methods for the center-drive thickener shall conform to those specified in Table 14-6.

Test Run
The test run of the center-drive thickener shall comply with the following provisions:
(1) The no-load test run duration shall be 4 hours.
(2) The lifting mechanism shall be reciprocated 5 times or more.

(4) During the load test run, if a temporary shutdown exceeds 10 minutes, the rake must be lifted.
(5) During the load test run, the overload indicator spring and overload alarm device shall be adjusted according to the requirements of the technical documentation.
