What precautions should operators take when operating a grinding mill?

After the grinding mill starts operating, operators must adhere to the following precautions:

(1) Once the grinding mill is started, it should not be left unfed for extended periods. Generally, this should not exceed 15 minutes to reduce liner damage and steel ball consumption.

(2) Operators should carefully adjust the feed rate and discharge concentration.

(3) Regularly check and ensure sufficient and clean lubricating oil at all lubrication points. The oil temperature of the main bearing should not exceed 60℃. Main bearings with cooling (mainly in dry ball mills) should be supplied with water.

(4) Regularly check the wear condition of the liners inside the grinding mill. Replace worn-through or cracked liners promptly, and tighten any leaks in the cylinder.

(5) When stopping the mill, first stop feeding, then allow the mill to continue running for 10-15 minutes to grind the ore in the cylinder before stopping.

(6) In the event of a sudden stop due to an accident, immediately stop feeding and water supply, and disconnect the power supply to the motor and other units.
