What is the beneficiation process for Ningxiang-type mandarin iron ore?

Ningxiang-type mandarin iron ore is a typical type of high-phosphorus mandarin iron ore deposit. It is the most widely distributed, largest in reserves, and most important sedimentary iron ore deposit in my country, widely distributed in the iron-poor regions of Central and Southwest China, including Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, and Guangxi, as well as southern Gansu. The ore is mainly composed of mandarin hematite, followed by siderite, mandarin chlorite, and limonite. The iron content is 30%–45%, and the phosphorus content is often high, ranging from 0.4% to 1.1%. The phosphorus content is related to the geographical location of the deposit. Burmese hematite generally occurs as calcareous mandarin-shaped hematite and sandy Burmese hematite, often occurring in association with or intermingled with siderite and Burmese chlorite in iron ore layers. In some mining areas, the mineral facies vary considerably within the layers. For example, in the Cuntian mining area of ​​Yunnan, the eastern part of the main ore body is dominated by oxidized mandarin-shaped hematite, the central part is dominated by oxidized-neutral siderite-mandarin-shaped hematite-mandarin chlorite, and the western part is dominated by reduced siderite, mandarin chlorite, and Burmese chlorite-siderite.

The Beijing General Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy conducted flotation desliming-selective agglomeration-reverse flotation on “Ningxiang-type” Burmese hematite. The dephosphorization technology was studied, and its process flow is shown in Figure 4-9. Chemical multi-element analysis and iron phase analysis of the raw ore sample were also conducted. See Tables 4-23 and 4-24 respectively.
